Full-Time Youth Pastor at Waterhouse Church Weatherford, Texas
Waterhouse Church in Weatherford, Texas, is seeking a full-time youth pastor to oversee a vibrant and growing youth group of 35+ students. 32 to 40 hours a week and pay shall commensurate with experience and qualifications. Waterhouse Church is a fast-growing Assemblies of God church located west of Fort Worth, Texas. We have two Sunday services and average 300+ in-person attendance in 2023, up from 158 average attendance in 2022. Weatherford is a rapidly growing community, and we are strategically located across from a middle school and school district building.
Required Hours:
Sunday: 8AM to 1PM
Wednesday: 9:30AM to 12:30PM and 5PM to 8:30PM
Expected Work Days:
Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday or Friday
Job Duties:
- Teaching and Preaching: Prepare and deliver engaging and relevant teachings, sermons, and lessons that effectively communicate Biblical truths to youth in a relatable and understandable manner
- Prepare message topics for Wednesday night youth group
- Create small group questions for Wednesday night youth group
- Volunteer Recruitment and Training: Recruit, train, equip, and supervise volunteers who will assist in youth ministry activities, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for young people
- Train and equip your Student Leadership Team
- Collaborate with Worship Pastor to train and equip Youth Worship Team
- Plan and coordinate youth events outside of Wednesday night youth group
- Outreach and Evangelism: Encourage and equip youth to share their faith with others, actively engaging in outreach efforts and evangelistic opportunities within the community
- Administrative Tasks: Handle administrative duties related to youth ministry, such as budget management, record-keeping, communication with parents and guardians, and coordination with other church staff members
- Attend and coordinate summer youth camp
- Counseling Skills: Basic counseling skills are beneficial for providing guidance and support to youth who may be facing personal, spiritual, or relational issues. While not required to be a licensed counselor, the youth pastor should possess the ability to offer Biblical counsel and refer individuals to professional help when needed
- Attend and serve on Sunday mornings at Waterhouse Church
- Arrange for food for Wednesday night youth group
Job Qualification Requirements:
- Must have a passion for serving God through youth ministry
- Spiritual Maturity: The youth pastor should demonstrate a vibrant and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ. This can be characterized by a deep understanding of Scripture, prayer, and a commitment to living out Biblical principles in daily life
- Must be Spirit filled
- Humble and teachable
- Must have prior experience working with youth (volunteer or paid)
- Must agree with doctrinal stances of Waterhouse Church found on website about us page
- Personal Character: A youth pastor should demonstrate integrity, humility, and a strong commitment to personal and ethical conduct. They should be a positive role model for youth and exhibit a lifestyle that reflects the teachings of Christ
- Must have a strong understanding of Biblical principles
- Pursuing or agree to pursue credentials
- Must be able to pass a background check and be drug and alcohol free
Preferred Skills:
- Proficient in ProPresenter, Google Suite, Planning Center, and Canva
- Team building skills
- Effective communication skills
- Organizational skills
- Can lift up to 50 pounds

Pre-K Leader
Location: Waterhouse Church, 1010 S Bowie, Weatherford Tx
Position Type: Sundays/Wednesdays and extra opportunities throughout the month
Hours: Sundays (8:00 AM - 1:00 PM), Wednesdays (6:30 PM - 8:00 PM)
Description:
Waterhouse Church is seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to serve as our Pre-K Leader, responsible for nurturing the spiritual growth and development of our youngest members. This position requires someone who not only loves working with children but also embodies the love of Jesus both inside and outside the classroom.
Responsibilities:
Spiritual Leadership: Embody the love of Jesus in all interactions and activities, creating a warm and welcoming environment where children feel valued and supported in their faith journey.
Teaching: Utilize your preschool experience to teach age-appropriate curriculum and activities that engage young minds and hearts, fostering a love for God and a desire to learn.
Team Leadership: Lead a team of dedicated volunteers, providing guidance, training, and support as they serve alongside you in ministering to the children of Waterhouse Church.
Communication and Collaboration: Maintain open communication with parents, staff, and church leadership, collaborating with other ministry teams as needed to support the overall mission and vision of Waterhouse Church.
Delegate Responsibilities: Effectively delegate tasks and responsibilities as needed to ensure the efficient operation of the Pre-K ministry, empowering volunteers to use their gifts and talents to serve effectively.
Sunday Services: Be available on Sundays for both services (8:00 AM - 1:00 PM), overseeing the Pre-K program and ensuring a smooth and enriching experience for both children and volunteers.
Wednesday Evenings: Be available for Wednesday evening services (6:30 PM - 8:00 PM), actively participating in activities and engaging with children and families during this midweek gathering.
Qualifications:
- A deep love for Jesus Christ and a commitment to reflecting His love in all aspects of ministry.
- Previous experience working with preschool-aged children, with a strong understanding of child development and educational principles.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team of volunteers to work together toward common goals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with children, parents, and volunteers from diverse backgrounds.
- Flexibility in scheduling, with the availability to work Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings on a regular basis.
- A passion for serving in ministry and a desire to make a positive impact in the lives of young children and their families.
